I spent years with stained glass and never tired of it. Designing pieces for customers was always enjoyable because they were so enthusiastic about their ideas. I preferred large architectural projects, as opposed to 3-dimensionals or little window hangings. (They were also far more lucrative.) There is no end to the colors and textures of glass, and the results always appear elegant. Large pieces have to be well-enforced and other than that, there is little to say. The process of constructing a piece is a skill that can be learned by anyone. Start out with patterns already out there and soon you'll be making your own.
